Hybrid crit/status melee weapons can build around both Blood Rush (BR) & Condition Overload (CO) to inflict a large number of status effects on the enemy to get a big boost in damage from CO while keeping the melee combo counter high enough that BR can give a large number of crits.Ī typical hybrid build would look like: Blood Rush (for crits from combo counter), Condition Overload (for damage from status effects), Drifting Contact (for ease in building the combo counter and better status), Pressure Point (more damage), 2x 60% / 60% elemental damage/status mods (for more status and damage), and the last two slots can be tailored to fit your tastes or cover the weapon's flaws.
